Sean

For a first attempt at a site, it is very well done!

A couple of things, if I am correct you have a shop also?

1 - If you have I would put that on the home page, at the moment one might assume you have a warehouse / garage or similar with the product but if I could see an operating shop as well then I would now that you are keeping up with all food hygiene standards etc

2 - People love words like organic - fresh - award winning - healthy (so put put a few more of those in)

3 - A small one for me - I would photoshop out the dates on the photos those prawns where pictured in 2007

A few very good points you have made there which to be honest i had not thought about, or would have thought about to be honest.

The shop side, yes we have a shop and that is a good point, will get photo done in the morning if the sun is shining and get it on home page.

Fresh, i can add that, maybe change the home page description of us abit better. I tend to fail on grammer.

Award winning, Im working on that and have signed up with the local council. Which is the best of my area they are running. As im only fish shop to sign up, keep things to scratch, we should get a visit and a good recomedation from them hopefully as the best in the area which will help with the award winning as you say.

dates on pics was very good point. never ever though of that, snapped away and uploaded. That was down to taking pics, taken memory card out, and having to reset date and time on camera which i never did.

Might actualy take new pics tomorrow and up load think i can tweak a pic or 2 to look better.

The organic side. I wont get away with that, as half the products we sell, are mainly target at west indians, africans, and other ethic groups. And most products come from the far east and are farmed. some are wild caught. maybe i can add that rather than organic, or would that be the same, im not sure.

Any more views on what i have proposed i would welcome.

thanks again for the great comments.

I once bought an umbrella from M&S and on the label it say made from recycled materials, it implied that the umbrella had been made from recycled materials however on the back of the label it had a small note saying the label had been made by recycled materials.

If you have some fish that is organic or local sourced etc then as long as you qualify that on your site somewhere (like the supermarket free range chickens etc) then you could put this on your site.

As always just my 2 cents.

Do you want a hand with the grammar? It's one of the things I can do.

Shameless self-promotion aside, I like it - it's not too cluttered, which is my usual gripe about websites.

Have you considered having an "about us" page?

Hi Sean

Echo'ing the other comments, pretty good, and some good pointers from Tomsk.

Couple of SEO things, can't see any keywords or metadata like description info. May help you get a bit more visibility from the search engines.

Make sure you've got your analytics plugged in, so you can track your traffic and see which keywords are working for you. Googles a freebie if your not using it already.

Im still not sure about this SEO thing, metadata. i have analytics, and check everday.

My site was built from home, as a pure novice.

Sean

Don't get to hung up on Meta Data its not overly important but it can be helpful if you can add it.

Make sure you get some good text on there and you should be ok

Sean

What software have you used to build the site?

In the source code the is reference to flash files and the mention of Goolge analytics in the middle of the site but does appear to be set correctly.

As Steve said

if your happy to pm me the index.html file for your site I can quickly do what Steve mentions for you, if you would like, and then you can simply upload it.
