Basics for your websites
I hope this may help some of the people browsing as guests on the forum, we can help the people that ask, but for those that may feel a bit shy, here is a basic checklist of things your website should or should not have.
The Difference Between a Good and a Bad Website As always, hope it helps!

Nice one kip,
I've been tearing my hair out trying to liven our website up a bit the past few days. Taken on board a lot of your suggestions, waiting to see what happens. I'm struggling with getting some before and after photos on though, any suggestions pretty please. Trena

Photoshop haha, no, you can't do that as it would show untrue results, what I would do is maybe offer some free carpet cleaning, patch test, and take pics, if you do a good press release (ie: not salesy) you might get some good local press out of it too!

i have the photo's, just cant them onto the website, i've hit total brain freeze and no matter what i do it just wont do what i want it to.

There are rules, but not everyone follows them...
dunno if this helps or not, his website is terrible (IMHO) but this guy has an awesome product, millions of satisfied customers, and is a legend in his own lunchtime, so what do I know!
Before 'n' After - Classic car rustproofing since 1987 He has some great before and after pictures on his home page, and very quickly, landing on his home page, I know what he does, and more importantly, how well he does it. This encourages visitors to read more, or pick up the phone which is the name of the game. Its the sort of website us online snobs will say he needs a professional makeover, but it clearly works for him, so why break it. Another cracker which defies all logic, goes against everything we believe in is ling-cars. You may remember from dragons den, she's quite a character, and her website certainly reflects her personality" CAR LEASING CHEAP LEASE CARS SALES CAR LEASING CHEAP CONTRACT HIRE DEALS Just throwing in a curve ball, but maybe you'll get some inspiration. As with all sites, its down to conversion numbers. If you're happy with them, dont change anything regardless of what people tell you. If you're not, then keep changing and tweaking till you are!!!
