Home page is basic but does the job, took me a little while to work out waht the small image was at the top. A heavy paragraph of text which I wouldn't normally bother to read.

Bullet points below that is better, have to scroll to the bottom of the page to get to your call to action.

"Have your say" is priceless, but have to hunt for it. Maybe have testimonials on the home page, or at least an excert showing off your skills.

Make your logo a link to the homepage, thats standard practice now and your vistors will expect it.

Displaying a yahoo address is a bit lazy You've got a domain, so use that for your mail. You can always forward them to your yahoo account. Gives you a more professional image. Your hosting provider should be able to sort that out for you if you can't do it yourself.

Meta Keywords wise, theres a lot of words in there! You can be marked down by the search engines if they think you are keyword stuffing, ie adding keywords which barely show or don't relate to content on your site. I would trim it down a bit.

You can see it yourself here:
Free SEO Software Tool & Text Browser, Search Engine Optimization Tools - SEO Browser and enter your URL.

Start building up your link building campaign, as your not showing any inbound links yet. Things like this forum will help, but get yourself signed up with a few SEO freindly directories (not plugging!) reply to things like blogs, and maybe do a few articles if you get the time.

Hope that helps, but hopefully a you will get some more feedback

Although Steve may not be plugging his own directory, I would say you need to get on it, I ended up taking the national spot out with them, great for SEO and has me on the front page of google, bing and yahoo for a few relevant searches.

I am not the biggest fan of doing site reviews, always seems like I am fishing for work! But your site is a bit busy, everything is quite small, and you would be better having buttons etc a tad bigger. And as Steve has said, although content is king, if it seems like your site is just text for texts sake, google will penalise you for it!

My tip to building a great website, is this:

Imagine you are an eccentric billionaire, you do not need customers, but you want to build a site for people to get info and help for free, that way your site will not end up as a 'Please Use Our Services' but a 'Wow, thats helpful, they must know what they are talking about'

People decide immediately if they like your site or not, how good is your bounce rate? I look at a 50/50 drop for each page, ie if 250 land on my home page, 125 visit about us, 62 visit prices/services and 30 hit contact, then 15 use the contact page.

Am I making sense?

I'm not an expert on web production so will refrain from that side reading comments. On information then, and I may have missed it but what about 'BICS' would that be useful to you (membership)?

Like this font but change spelling of competetive for competitive, and dont for don't:
We are a small family run, carpet cleaning and specialist cleaning business based in Coventry, and although we are a fairly young company, established in 2008, our fully trained and insured technicians have many years experience in the specialist cleaning sector and are dedicated to providing a very high standard of service to our clients,regardless of the size of the job, quality, price and excellent customer service are our top priority.
While we don't claim that our price is the cheapest in the area, we are very competitive and we will go the extra mile in terms of customer care and service.

Would prefer font as above but this time change competive for competitive, also and it is just me whay not keep sizing similar and colour as well. Also maybe state IPAF but bracket (International Powered Access Federation) also assume certificate would be restricted to scissor MEWPS? May be worth stating, and perhaps why rather than just stating high level and builders cleans. If I may? Add something about you Health & Safety commitment, maybe think about CHAS or similar. It may even be worth stating you have qualified H&S advice within the organisation to satisfy any developers or construction Co's that wish to assess you. If you get a PQQ to complete and you ever get stuck you can always ask me.

You might detail the services you supply with a builders clean or high level and if you do high level why not think about ladderless gutter cleaning, some serious money in it!

This is the second part of text that I feel should be same as starting as above my pre-amble.:

We specialise in the following:

* Carpet cleaning .
* Stain removal.
* Sparkle cleaning/ builders cleans.
* End of Tenancy cleans.
* Upholstery cleaning.
* Fumigation.
* Commercial and office cleaning.
* Pubs,clubs and hotels.
* Residential/nursing homes
* Fire and flood disaster management.
*High level cleans (IPAF QUALIFIED)
*Builders cleans (CSCS accredited)

Whether its a one off clean or a regular cleaning contract you are looking for, we can work with you to design a package to suit your needs at very competive prices.

Call us now for a no obligation quote.

Also could not see any info about Scotch guarding (or equivalent) which no doubt you do. Loads more if you need it.

I think anything that gets the message across that you are genuine is worth £££££'s.

Take an ad out with My local, it is worth ten times the cost in potential returns, Oh I said six times earlier but am so pleased for the very small cost.

Good luck

Mike

Right you lot, no more plugging MLS, people will think you are all on commission and scare everyone off

Good feedback ref the copy, one key basic mistake I've been guilty off on several occasions is typo's. Such a basic oversight, but can do untold damage to your image.

Just shows, always good to get multiple opinions on a site, as everyone has a different angle. Hope its been useful!

Sorry about that Steve, I think I'm the main culprit, but just felt I had to say it because of the results I have had - and simply wanted to share my recommendations. Last I shall say on the matter...promise.
