Hosting outside of the UK is not really going to cause you a problem, it's not ideal but for the keywords and terms that you may want to list for it should not be a problem. Ideally your hosting should be in the same country as you are trying to promote in - however I would guess 85% of mine are not hosted in the country I am trying to work in.
