I know this thread is a bit old, but I just took a look at your website - I like your layout and content looks great. Seems like you are going to do very well.

*Dreamraven enters the arena* Now, don't you grumble at me..... :P lol

I just want to say this though, don't take the criticism you get from people the wrong way. I know its hard when people rip your work apart to the last pixel, when you put everything into it. Take what they say and use it to your advantage. The rest you don't need to worry about. Also remember that everyone has their own specific tastes, and you cannot cater to everyone on a single website. I've tried, its useless. Someone somewhere is always going to find something wrong. If you are comfortable with it, and you know it looks good and takes advantage of the right marketing techniques, the way you intended, then the site will be perfect.

I can understand the imagery, but the best way to use them, is to use them as "items" that grab the visitors attention and pushes it a certain way, (to your content). You can use anything from clipart, to vectors, but the most effective are photos of people where you can see their eyes, or if they are performing an action (like pointing to something etc.) It helps you funnel a visitor's attention to your call to action, your promotional content, or you could just use it to emphasze something that you feel is important.

The black, is not really the best idea as well. Althoug I have to admit I adore dark sites (ok enough goth, back to you). You need to break the color, and at the same time find a more natural look for the images you're using. The reason I say this, is because its hard to show depth in a design that is primarily black, breaking it with shades of black/really dark grey and even contrastng areas, will give you a much better effect. I love the semi transparency though.

Ad space is kept to a minimum, and that's great. Big G tends not to favour too many adverts on a page, and you have none above the fold, which makes it even better, Google wise.

I love the twitter birdie, but you need to find a better area to show him off. Maybe having him popping up on a corner close to content (once again, to draw a visitors eyes not only to the birdie, but also the content ).

hmmmm ok, what else (before you become Henry VIII and scream off with my head lol)

Your digg and stumbleupon buttons seems to have a little white around their edges and seem to pop out instead of blend like the rest of the buttons.

Did you code the site in joomla? or was it a template?

OK on to the SEO, you have a few really choice keywords chosen, but your design one is going to be really hard to rank properly because of competition. Maybe what you could do is find related search terms that are searched for often, but have very low competition. It could give the site a good boost. Also, you don't mention anything about a virtual office in your meta keywords... It could help, I mean I generally use the company name in it as well. Google might not use the keywords, but some SE's do use them to a certain extent, so use it to your advantage.

What I really did like, was the fact that the content area is transparent enough to show the full image in the background. it's a nifty little trick when you can make the site move, and the background stays put.
