Make life easier for everybody by putting a link in for starters... http://www.kevinwiles.co.uk

Ensure there are no typo's.

I'm not a great fan of big images going across the screen if they add no real value.. ..but hey, that may just be me. If you're a photographer then yes it makes sense.

If you insist on having them go across the screen then make sure they link correctly - to somewhere worthwhile.
e.g. 1) Affordable SEO image links to your Affordable SEO page which has very little interest and links to some other bits, but all seems a bit clunky/untidy.
2) The Mylocalforums image links to your portfolio page - why? Surely it should link to mylocalforums - or are you aiming to ride on the crest of the success of the forum ??!

Hope that helps...

Thanks yes it all helps, although I am looking for things that would keep people on the site or give them a reason to call me.

I know the site needs some work, Images, Pages, Navigation etc mainly I wanted to know if someone who might be looking for SEO what they would want on a website and what would make them email or call me

I have to say I disagree with Mr B on this, that is a huge improvement on the last site I viewed of yours Kev, and it looks like you are getting much better at web design and bringing the modern techniques (that work) into your designs.

Although I appreciate that the billboard images are not for everyone, they add extra content, SEO, visuals, information and more. You have three kinds of people, Kinesthetic, Auditory and Visual, satisfying Auditory people is difficult, as music on a website is like an unwelcome salesman when you walk in a shop, but you can satisfy both Kinesthetic and Visual people with home sliders (or indeed on any page).

Websites are like haircuts, they improve your image, but need looking after, you don't just have a haircut and then leave it alone until the next one, you wash it, brush it, style it (in my case I shave it lol!), and sliders are a great way of updating relevant news, articles, information, products etc.

Keep at it Kevin mate, you are headed in the right direction for sure!

Just an 'average Joe' set of comments and quite subjective.
  • I like the colours
  • I like the overall look
  • I think the pics at the head of the columns whilst matching the theme are not suggestive of anything relevant (not sure that matters though)
  • I found it a bit busy and had too 'concentrate' to focus on the content
  • I think the background competes with the page - adds to busy feel
  • I think overall it is a very smart looking site that might benefit from a few tweaks

Good work.

Portfolio and case studies, I am about to have 2 done professionally at the moment (case studies), by a member on here actually, I will update when they are done.

But make sure you have Testimonials & Portfolio as a standard! These are the most visited pages.
