Default What do you think of my site then?

As i have said in a few other posts it is flash based and i do acctually like it overall though i agree it needs tweeking

Functional fitness Gym in watford

the .co.nr is a free hosting thing and the site itself is a free Wix site, so all free!!

it now allows html in places though i cant really see any features yet that i wont that are html based

and i belive wix are working on something that will allow some sort of viewing on i phones and other places that flash is not allowed

i like that fact that i can completely change things around and its fully WYSIWYG design

thanks

You may love it, but reality is, it's down to how it performs as a marketing tool for your business. If it's working and generating punters for your gym, then great. If not, then you really need to reconsider having a flash site

Theres an age old saying...

You get what you pay for....

well i guess its working ok because people are coming in from it

in the past i have used web dseigners and TBH what they have come up with, i dont think, looked anywhere near as professional as this

now i ams sure i can get the bits you mentioned up therewith some constructive help that i can then take back to either wix direct or through the .co.nr people

it may be one or the other that is not performing so well

i allso have the .com address that i could link/host with my site, this may help

when we had the gym in portugal the .com address was well up the google list, so maybe its down to the .co.nr linking

Personally, I'd look at putting it on something like wordpress, which does most of the hard work for you SEO wise, is easy to update, and a simple template would do for your site, which to be honest could be made to look quite similar to what you have now.

But assuming you're staying with wix, then I'd do away with the initial splash page "click here to enter".

I think the lack of text will be a bit of an issue, and the page titles. If you could address those, you'd have a fighting chance.

Then the rest will be off page stuff like link building, anchor text for your keywords.

I assume you know which keywords people type into Google to find you. If you don't, find out! Ask your punters. If you do, then start using that as anchor text in things like your forum signature, instead of just the web link which you have now.

Then it's a case of going down the online marketing route, blogs, articles etc and get your keywords working for you.

Here's a blog review of wix, and compares another free website maker, which is seo friendly.

Last paragraph was interesting:
"Despite advanced features, Wix fails when it comes to search engine optimization. Wix creates Flash-based websites which are not SEO-friendly. This makes the choice very simple. If you want to develop a website for SEO purposes, Doomby is the option for you. However, Wix is one of the best platforms for personal websites."

May be worth investigating?

I feel it's quite okay and its good to hear that your are receiving traffic as well.
But I would suggest you must have a look at the sharp red and deep blue combination of the background.
The links at the bottom can be highlighted and presented in a better way.
Plus, more accurate picture can drive more interested people.
