The site layout not to my taste and lacks colour, good quality pictures work as well.

Would recommend that you experment with different layouts, took us time to get it right!

My current system is that unless a client has specified that turnaround is time-critical, I write the stuff on Day 1, and then I proof-read it on Day 2 once I've had a nice long gap including dinner, sleep, a shower, breakfast and a nice cup of tea.
Before proof-reading I select all text and change the font to something completely different, which makes it easier because I'm no longer recognising the shape of the paragraphs. Some people like to print off a copy and go to a different room, anything to make it feel like a fresh reading.
Then once I've gone through it a couple of times, I read it out loud, which makes me read more slowly and highlights any problems with flow.

But proof-reading by other people is a better bet. I sometimes end up doing it for people who are much better writers than me, simply for the sake of being a fresh pair of eyes.
Yes, though my point is that someone who doesn't know how to use correct grammar or punctuation in the first place won't spot their own mistakes no matter how often they check it. On forums people are lax, but then i've gone to folks' website and found errors yet they are often the ones found picking holes in others!

haha love it, we all do it, to err is human, to forgive is divine!

I have a kick ass copywriter, with a huge pedigree, who is always harping on about what I need to change, rewrites etc. I must have 5 emails of copy from her that need updating (will do them later!).

My issue is that I am too busy concentrating on the design half the time, as what they see and feel, will be what brings them in to read the text. Then the text gets thrown up "for now", and generally gets forgotten!

I read from one marketing "guru" that we should actually include typo's in our marketing mailshots - think he meant those ugly, long marketing letters/web pages - those coverd in yellow highlighter with buy now every other paragraph, you know the ones I mean! Apparently it makes us look more "human" and they align themselves closer to us. I say, apparently. I don't fall for such trickery mind you!

Hi

I was going to post yesterday, but because of my post count. I couldn't... so I can now.

You seem to have linked to a favicon in your source but one doesn't exist.
The link to 'Link partners' is only visible on the index page.
Link partners is linked by a full link, the rest is linked internally. It also forces the www. prefix.
