Am taking you at your word, hope these quick comments help.

The problems I had with the site were that:-

- the images moving slowly across the top of the site made me feel rather sea-sick. I understand why you wanted "music in motion" in the design but it didn't work for me.

I also thought they weren't attractive images, nor were they sufficiently varied (eg images of high glam bride, groom, bridesmaids and best man whooping it up together, 3 generations dancing together, bar mitzvahs, etc).

- the site design as a whole didn't appeal to me - it seemed stodgy, not the image you want to convey to "rent-a-party" customers.

-the site's "messages" mostly didn't seem customer-focused (eg why should I care which venues you've worked? You have to sharpen up the customer benefit of such information before I have any interest in reading it).

- when I read the text, I hadn't a clue what keywords you might be using on each page. If I couldn't guess that information without going to the source [code?], then maybe you need to pay more attention to keywords, title tags and metadescriptions?

Have a lot of work to do on my own site so I feel a great deal of sympathy with you.

Best wishes Linda

As for the search engine questions there are many here on the forum who can help you with that, perhaps if you give a bit of detail on what your expectations for the search engines are we can point you in the right direction.

Thank you Tomsk.

I do not think it wise to say amount paid on a forum as it is not very professional

My ideal is to have......

A site that customers can find

Well to find my website on google etc try entering it - i get links , other peoples sites too but page after page later me.

I hope a expert on here will give me a price if any are interested

I'm shocked, frankly. you said you had three different website designers design it? If that's the 3rd re-do, the first two must have been so, so bad.

As for SEO, it really helps to have a good site, with a good mix of relevant content and images. I'm not surprised you wouldn't get to the first page of Google.

I wouldn't have thought it was hard to get high on Google in your business area though... when done right! If you're Interested in SEO and a proper corporate website Design, give us a call on 01268 330715.

Shocking Andy, although quoting from your Web Dev's own site:

"Here you will find information about Peter Laws. The site has just opened, so please beware that Peter is still working on the content."

Kind of says it all.....

You've had an offer from Mike, 2 other guys I can reccommend that will do you something like a low cost wordpress site (which I think is all you really need) are KipFX and MrB

That should give you a range of quotes and styles to think about.
