I like the idea of the RSS feed - good to have pointers to discuss about.

I would perhaps arrange the home page so that "real" people who have submitted posts/comments over, say, last 24 hours are given prominence over RSS feeds?

Though I presume your still tweaking the "rights" as the home page states I don't have permission now...

I like it, it's not overwhelming. So many sites use bright colours to indicate a dozen or more things that you MUST click on NOW and it can be difficult to get to the jelly.

In your yellow box at the top, though, there are a couple of minor typos:

Quote:
You are currently viewing the forum as a guest which gives you limited access to view most discussions and access our other features. By registering for our free community you will have access to post topics, communicate privately with other members (PM), respond to polls and access many other special features.Registration is fast, simple and absolutely free so please, join our community today!
This paragraph has a duff double-space after "registering".
There should be a space after the full stop and before the word "Registration".
You repeat the word "access" a lot, which can be jarring to a reader.

Quote:
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact contact us.
The word "contact" has been repeated. I'm guessing you meant to insert a contact link.

All of these are tiny nitpicks, but you don't want typos in your opening front page paragraph.

Also I couldn't help a little giggle:
Quote:
Always use a pc to write your CV spelling mistakes are a big problem.
Lack of punctuation can also be an issue!

Hi Guys
Many thanks for the feedback.
I have dialed back the rss feed to aggregate 2 items every 4 hours that should reduce the post flooding. once I start to get some good numbers I can play around with this setting.

All the mistakes in the guest message are due to the way PHP is interpreted vbulletin does not give you the enhanced editor for that specific message so I have to hand write it. I have now re written the code so hopefully the mistakes should have gone now.

and about the punctuation mistake that was me. My written Hinglish is pretty poor. hence i now have a copy writer that I work with who rewrites all of my scribble so that they make sense. that post was written prior to her coming on board.

This still seems to be an issue, I get the following message, when clicking the Home link to JSAF Forum - Job Seekers Advice Forum.....

Quote:
mrb, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

All sorted now.
I have got a promotion policy that runs in the back ground and you had been auto promoted I had forgotten to tick the read all button for your user group.

Mayday, mayday..... ...about to crash and burn

I'm now unable to reply to any threads (or start a new thread). I suspect you need to tick a few more boxes

When you get your coat can you make sure you are the last one out of the building and switch off all the lights.

I thought the migration to a new isp had gone too smoothly.

All the policy mismatches have been rectifed.

Ladies and Gentlemen.
Stavros has left the building.
