Okay, finally time to unveil my pride and joy and invite people to stomp all over it...

Virtually Mary - Virtual Assistant Services

One known issue - there is currently no artwork for the Contact or Feedback pages. That's because those pictures are still being drawn.

I suspect the SEO stuff is where I'm going to be falling down.

One moment...

*checks freezer for Ben&Jerrys*
*hides behind cushion*

Ok, go.

I like the look of it

Homepage: might be worth leaving a blank line between each of the of the points.

Services: Might be worth adding more of the jobs you do as you go along. The more ideas you give people the more it makes them understand how much they need you.

Good call - that does look better.

I did debate putting on more services, but I'm so used to threes in writing. Style v content... straw poll, anyone?

Mary. Excellent

Now presuming you've found your teddybear and still hiding behind your cushion (but eaten all the Ben&Jerrys) The only thing I would suggest is the Business Insurance Logo Square - keep it under the menu on the left. Seems to move on different pages because of the layouts you have.

As you know, being a regular on the forum, Google Analytics is useful so I'd suggest you get that plugged in to your site if not already done so.

Incidentally, I don't know if you wanted to do this deliberately when the site was setup, but at the moment you have blocked the search engines - not good for optimising your site I see it's been made using Wordpress so if you go into your settings - privacy there should be a button to change it

Re Services, I'd suggest you add a "read more" link or button on that page somewhere after I can do research, copy-writing, proof-reading, data entry, customer service… the possibilities are endless. or change the wording to incorporate it. That way you still have the style and the content on another page After all good content is good for search engines!

I'll leave it there for now, tis getting late and you've run out of Ben&Jerrys!

To end on a high, I do like the simple clean lines of the site - aesthetically pleasing

Hopping insurance square: It stays static for me in Firefox... may I ask which browser you're using? Then I can ask my designer to fix it.

Google analytics added to to-do list.

You, sir, are a genius.

I had no idea I was blocked for search engines! I suspect that was for during the design process as the designer and I have never met so we were tweaking it live. Thanks for letting me know - switch has now been flicked.

No word of a lie - last night in bed I had real nightmares that someone would have spotted a typo or an abused apostrophe. Welcome to the priorities of my subconscious!

The design need to be compatible with all browsers really. I tend to switch between IE and Firefox so, at the time I was using IE. This is an interesting chart showing browser market share to see that even Google Chrome browser is rising up the ranks with nearly 7% of the market share. Compatability, compatabilty... ...is rule no.1! This is a useful tool to check browser compatibility, as it provides screenshots ran a few for you... You can see that your menu down the left has bigger gaps too in some browsers.

I understand the *need* for compatibility but had no idea how to check it - thanks for that

Thanks! I look forward to it!

The simplicity was a major factor in the design process - I wanted to convey my service as a totally non-threatening 'blank slate' that is easily adaptable and goes with most things. I am the Little Black Dress of the office support world. Or something.
