I have over the last couple of week been working on and off on the redesign of my PDF Xchange software site and would like to shamelessly plug it now here in the village market

Cooh, sounds impressive!

As you know, I'm no techie ... but I'd wondered whether this software could be marketed successfully to the big outplacement companies?

Most candidates and CV writers prepare CVs in one of the various versions of Word. They send them off as Word attachments to a multitude of potential employers. In the process, the formatting often gets mucked up. With a .pdf file that wouldn't happen, would it?

Hi Linda - yes you are correct, it prints effectively what you see on your screen and the added benefit is that when it gets to the other person they cannot tamper with the original word document.

Good stuff, just bought the XChange Standard as I'v been looking for a PDF editor, and sick of adobes endless security fixes on my reader

Little confused with the purchase route though, wasn't charged any VAT and the signup cart suggests I've bought from the States, and not from yourselves?

Swreg are the payment gateway like sage pay etc , but the specialize in electronic downloads and serial key generation for software products, I had been using paypal but found it has been putting clients with paypal knocking back their payment requests.

Due to their turnover they charge VAT

Been having a good play, and works a treat. Idiot proof which is good for me

Just been converting some word invoices, takes the from 198kb files down to 38kb files, and they look much more professional.

Nice one! And just got rid of the 200MB bloatware acrobat reader, and its endless patching

Yes one of the benefits is the file size reduction

It is a lot smaller and cheaper than Adobe Acrobat!
