Default New Websites - Why?

The web is becoming more and more a part of everyday life, not just for online businesses, but for any company or individual, and getting the right image across is extremely important, that is why so many businesses turn to Kip FX to take on their design and improve the conversions their websites receive.

If there are 20 companies in your area, offering the same services and products that you do, you need to be ahead, if 2 of those companies have built their own websites, the chances are that the people viewing their web pages see them as an amateur company, because of the amateur website. . . .

KipMeister - hope you dont mind but moved you over to the village market, as that's a shameless promo

Very good point though, and your right, websites do need to start looking more professional as everyone fights for market share.

There are many poor of everything out there especially when in comes to websites and marketing websites! I knew our industry had a far few cowboys but since founding MagnifyB and looking closer at the so called competition out more closely, I didn't realise how many there were. And worse of all, people pay them good money! Mega confused by it all

It depends what you define as poor. Design is visual so it's in the eye of the beholder and what one perosn might love, another will hate and vice versa.

As for anything technical the average customer hasn't got a clue what to look for; what should and shouldn't be, what is good and what is not. What to ask for and what to avoid. And so on.

And no matter what you say there are some that will always have a smart answer for everthing they lack on. I just say let them all get on with it.

It is true, design is down to taste, but marketing is not, if you want a website to look pretty, that is all well and good, but if you want it to make you money, it boils down to a lot more than just design.

I always ask (website) clients, if they had 10 billion in the bank, and they did not need to make any money, what would they want their site visitors to get from the web site?

Amazing how accurate the functions and design become when it is more you, you, you, than me, me, me.
