balloons and flowers

With the six-months-to-go mark fast approaching, I need to kick my wedding planning up a notch.

Most things are in place - got the venue, got the registrar, got the catering (part of the venue contract), got the dress, got the website, and am in the process of getting the rings and the cake.

The two things I need to work on next are balloons and flowers. The balloons are mostly venue-decoration (table centrepieces, entrance decor) and the flowers need to be fake ones and are mostly person-decoration (corsages, boutonnières) although I'd be open to persuasion on other ideas, because, you know, I've never actually decorated a venue.

Obviously since the flowers need to be fake ones anyway, and it shouldn't require much time or specialist knowledge to fix a small ready-made arrangement to someone's lapel, we can collect those from just about anywhere ahead of time and store them until they're required.

However for the balloons we really need someone who can come to the venue on the day with a couple of cans of helium and get on with it while I find other things to panic about so that probably needs to be someone in or around the Warwickshire/West Midlands area.

My google-fu has turned up a few suppliers who could do it and obviously I'm collecting up their quotes, but you can't beat a personal recommendation. So if anyone here is able to recommend a balloon company or a flower-craft-person (is it still a florist if we're talking fake flowers?) whose work they have used, I'd be really interested to hear their details.
