And another.

YouTube - Hornby Merlin with DCC sound and smoke

This one is on a test track just seeing what further changes I need to make. I use ESU chips and a Lokprogrammer, link it all in to my netbook and voila. All sound are recorded from full size versions, hence realistic sound.

Now what else do I have that is small? DON'T go there you smutty lot.

Oh no, forums descended into train buffs, all credibility has now gone out of the window!

At last, trains that sound like trains!! So how does the smoke work?

The old fella is a model train fanatic, and does a fair bit of trading on ebay.

I'm more of a fan of the real ones, and bore the missus whenever were away and see a preserved line. Did a loco driving day last year, hours of fun, was grinning from ear to ear

Oh gawd, Caravans and trains, my business reputation is now in tatters...

Credibility? When was that posted lol!

I always wanted a train set that went around the house and carried stuff, remember the old Imperial Leather adverts?

Well to be fair Steve, this the 'let your hair down area'. I model in OO guage and take em apart, install lights, smoke, sound and so on, programme them and then enjoy them. Smoke is by way of a seuthe unit, a couple of drops of oil and away you go.

To be fair, in O guage the smoke can be linked to piston movement, thus really emulating the original. Sadly in OO guage there just is not enough room. I have to dremel away on occasions to get everything in.

fantastic, technology meets models!

Hoping my little girl becomes a tomboy so i can have a good excuse to get tinkering

The old fella models in OO and N, can't seem to make his mind up, his argument is that you need N guage if you want a full rake of 12 coaches, unless you've got a really big house!
