Talking God bless NatWest

We moved offices last month, so have gone through the pain of notifying suppliers etc about our address change.

Just had a pile of mail arrive from the old office, one of them from Natwest.

"I have recently received notification of your new address, I am pleased to confirm that we have now changed our records accordingly"

Which they then sent to the wrong address...

In the words of Terry Wogan, is it me?

Security. They do it in case you hadn't moved and somebody was trying to fraudulently do it. Though who would dare mess with you! ;-).

Natwest are a farce! Had same thing here with mailing address saga. Only took them 4 attempts to get it right including twice telling me it wasn't possible to do. I complained about the money i'd spent ringing them about it so she instantly credited our account wiht £25 to cover call costs!

Default as for streamline...

Best bit was our office streamline machine. Once we moved, we told Streamline (part of NatWest/RBS), plugged it in, did a test transaction, and happy days, painless, and started using it.

Except Clive noticed that our old address was on the receipts. Quick support call, only to be told that it's a change from their end, which they can't do because they no longer support our machine. No worries, send a new one, and we'll plug that one in.

Oh no, an engineer needs a site visit and needs to install it for you...

So engineer turns up, takes it out of the box for us and plugs it in...

Clive asks the "engineer", could we have done that? Oh yeah, it's just company policy....

I wonder why NatWest & RBS have lost so much dosh.....

Is it me....

What a faff!! How much is it costing them per engineer to do that each time?!
