a warning to others

As a warning to others not that we were caught read my last thread on the ford fiesta for sale in the for sale section on here, it tells the last email about a scam that is running for all types of goods. we stopped the sell after discussing it with the police. so don't get caught.

Just as a follow up and as a warning to others, the sale of the car was a scam and we have stopped the sale, i have put a copy of the last email on here including the prices, after discussing it with the police we decided that it was a scam.
Look at the grammar and the way the email is written, but the giveaway more than that is the money back, they send a stolen cheque collect the money and goods from the customer and are well gone before the cheque bounces even if the cheque has been cleared by the bank.

"Hello,
How are you? I hope all is fine with you? I just want to inform you
that My company called me that they have sent out the draft for the
car to you.
I must also inform you that there is a little mix up which really
grief me as it cannot be reverted. I have been making arrangement with
a shipping company before now, as regard the paper works and all
transfer of ownership and agreement between us "the seller and the
buyer". They will also take care of the insurance, taxes, MOT, and
change of registration plate number from yours to mine as the new
buyer. then will finally ship the car to our home in Edinburgh. All
this they say, will cost me £3,500 I have concluded all this
arrangement with the shipping company and have added all cost
together with the amount for the car which I submitted to my company.
I asked for two separate draft to be sent out for this amount. The
amount due to you £9,200 and for the shipping company for £3,500
which sum up to £12,700 altogether. I think the instruction did not
get the desk of the accounting officer before the draft was sent out.
Now I have been informed that the whole amount has been sent to you
since they thought you will be helping with the shipping as well.
All effort to inform them that you are only a seller and will not
handle the shipping has proved fruitless. I was informed that the
draft has been issued and sent out and cannot be called back anymore.
There was nothing they could do as regard the matter. I was told to go
and handle the matter myself with you. I have to inform you so that we
can settle this whole issue together.
Since I have made all arrangement with the shipper, I would advise
that when you receive the draft, you go ahead and bank the draft. when
the fund is credited to your account, the amount due for the shipper
would be deducted and sent to the shipping company so they can
conclude on all paper woks for the this transaction. I am sorry for
this terrible mistake and mix-up. I have no other option at this
moment but seek your cooperation in this matter so we
can finalize all transaction hopefully next weekend.

Ahh balls. Thats an age old scam mate, glad you picked up on in time.

Heard it a few times and always seems to originate from Eastern Europe, I've heard it#s supposedly a money laundering scam
