Default Green Toilets

Hi there - As some of you may know, round here I am Mr. Clean! I have an interest in sustainability within businesses and the more time I spend online reading articles I am reading more and more about 'Green Washrooms" (or Green Toilets in the Queen's English!) and I would like to know if anyone's workplace has such a facility? I have heard about advanced, hands free features so it would be great to know what people have at their work! Thanks, Chris

As I'm currently in my caravan in Cornwall, how about Green campsite wash houses? You'd think that would be a cracking market in these eco warrier times?

Well slightly off subject but hey-ho.. ..what about compost (Sawdust) toilets!

I sat on one in New Zealand and the view from the window was amazing! (The things you remember when travelling )

Every garden should have one though admittedly the view in the suburbs may not be so interesting!

You need not worry about the contents as apparently, after a year or two, the texture and smell is the same as a bag of compost bought from a garden centre!!

That’s a good point. It’s probably a similar situation with festivals, especially some of the more hippy orientated ones like Latitude and Womad. Caravaners and festival goers alike must be crying out for sustainable wash facilities. How are the facilities in Cornwall out of interest?!

So it’s two birds with one stone then… You get to use the toilet and get free compost as a reward. Plus amazing views if you happen to be in New Zealand!

Haha! So there’s definitely room for improvement then… Look out caravan sites of Cornwall – we are coming after you!
So clearly some campsites don’t have the best green facilities. Has anyone been anywhere, work related or otherwise that’s hitting above 4/10 on its green toilet credentials?!
