Cool Tunes that motivate

What music do you guys listen to that really crank up your productivity.

Me personaly you can beat the "prodigy - music for the jilted generation".

If I have a mahoosive piece of work I need to get knocked out i hit the dial on the ipod, crank up the volume and start moshin.

anyone got a tune that gets the blood flowing.

P.S> got it on now peeps in the office probably think I have lost the plot.

Dominoes - The Big Pink
Where Is My Mind? - Pixies (Fightclub Soundtrack)

And when its really head down and grafting, Garage always inspires me, loud and pumping!

Depends what I'm doing. If its mundane, database work but need to concentrate, I tend to work from home and have a bit of 80's or rock quietly in the background.

Other than that, tend to save it for the drive home, then blast my eardrums with anything thats on the ipod

It really, really depends what I'm doing. If it's brain-work, I prefer peace and quiet, and if peace and quiet are unobtainable or driving me mad, then I put the headphones in and go to RainyMood.com.

If it's a more manual kind of job, like folding flyers or winding pom-poms (I do love the variety of my work) then something I can sing along to - for a given value of "sing". If you asked my other half he'd be more likely to use words like "caterwaul" but hey, I'm having a good time.

Fiddly jobs need something much more relaxed, a bit of Nina Simone or REM or something. Or audiobooks.

Just noticed this thread, and have to agree with the ipod blasting on the drive home option. I have my ipod on Shuffle, and must say "Shuffy" chooses me some great tunes. They certainly get me through the traffic jams. My ipod's mainly full of tracks that are not going to be played on the radio, as I love to discover new artists.

I seem to be a bit out of touch with the latest music. Currently re-listening to Placebo and Bush. I discovered Tiken Jah Fakoley about 6 months ago by accident. I think he is Haiten or something. Sings Ragae in French. Can't understand most of it, but sure sounds good.

Yes, I have a lot of Placebo and a few Bush tracks on my ipod. "The Killers" have made some great "driving tracks".

I haven't heard of Tiken Jah Fakoley, but I have some World music albums. I have quite a lot of Mercan Dede, who I discovered through an album he did with Peter Murphy called "Dust".
