Bit stumped, as I had blocked PM functions for members with less than 10 posts to stop these dodgy spammers.

Looks like I need to do more testing!

Anyone else gets any ropey PM's, let me know

I actually think you've been targeted by Xrumer or something similar.

A lot of the spammers seem to be spam bots pulling "relevant" content off the web.

Xrumer and similar learn how to get around CAPTCHA so you might want to change the captcha you use, or add a second human qualifier.

Yup, thats why we added the human question which seemed to nip them in the bud.

I thought I'd blocked links, pm, and mail functionality for under 10 posters, but looks like people can still PM.

Not a major issue, we get maybe 1 or 2 spammers a day, some boards get literally buried, so anti spam stuff seems to be working, but don't want forum peeps bombarded with PM rubbish.
