So what happened to our 6-10 inches?

So went to bed last night and it was snowing fairly heavily. Great I thought especially as I had to be up at 6am to drive to Worcester to take my girlfriend to work. Got up this morning not a flake to be seen on the ground despite the weather people saying we would all be snowed in last night, even got up early to clear the snow off the car, as you can imagine not happy that I could have had an extra 15 mins in bed.

Why is it that we don’t appear to be able to predict the weather anymore?

My grandfather served in the war as a weather forecaster, when he retired more often than not he would be able to predict what the weather would do that day, so with all the technology available today why cant we do this simple feat now?

Yes its bad in certain areas fortunately not by me, again this raises the question why when a blanket of snow was expected across the midlands.

A further point. Why is it that a so called “leading” Nation is unable to cope with a few inches of snow when it hits, is it the councils who cant deal with the gritters or do we blame drivers who just don’t seem to have any experience when it comes to snow and ice and end up driving off the road.

Your right though, had to laugh, on the TV News last night, they had reporters stationed on different motorways. "So whats the situation on the M5 at the moment" "well Johhny, no snow yet, but I can confirm it's raining..."

I wonder how long they stood there before they realised there would be no snow

I wonder if the people of Scandanavia, North Dakota and Canada take the mickey out of us
