Police crash a mans prized possession after stopping him drinking & driving - full story - BBC News - Hale police crash car seized from 'drink-driver'
Hmm not advocating for 1 second that i agree with drink driving but would he have crashed if they hadnt of stopped him? Perhaps not that night but statistics show probably at some point in the future he would have done but thats not my point. How the hell can 2 officers lose control & crash through 2 gardens- were they trying out the performance of the car and if so what right do they have to do so? If they were Traffic Cops therefore trained to drive high performance cars how did it happen & if they were not Traffic officers why were they driving? I watch a lot of these Police fly on the wall docu soaps & most of the trime the car is towed away, why wasnt this the case this time. All I know is presumably the taxpayer now has to pay for the car to be repaired all because (im assuming) 2 officers of the Law where showboating

It is actually rather disgusting that this lack of care, attention and Safe Driving can go ahead within an institution of people that actually regulate these rules.
If indeed it was the case that the two officers were 'showboating' I wouldn't be surprised if they got sacked, a fine an all. It's a matter that could just get brushed aside though, I knew a policeman, he didn't pay his taxes and got sacked very swiftly and fined, that's simply because the Tax man takes no prisoners! If these coppers get away with this though, it would just be wrong
