Couriers what a waste of time

What a waste of time some couriers are, i am a bit peaved off, my new credit card machine was due to be delivered yesterday, and the courier went to the wrong address, now i have to wait till Monday. I am sure couriers only look at houses not numbers.
best of it is he parked outside our house and went next door, Whom we dont have anything to do with.

Oh dear

I'm starting to feel like the Post Office, in the last couple of weeks we've had about 3 wrong deliveres. Best one is when the delivery bod says, "well can you sign for it anyway?"

erm no. Its addressed to someone else!

Last one was for an iPhone apparently, how tempting was that...

Honesty is still the best policy, we shall see what happens on Monday.
best of it is we are advertising tha fact that we had the machine coming on Friday and have had to change the ads to Monday now, mainly cos we are not charging for its useage to the customer, hoping to bring in more trade, i shall be on MY Local once i get the item to change the ads on there.

Out of interest, you not thought of using an online payment terminal? So you can take card payments over the phone, but process them via your online terminal.

We're in the process of moving from the old card readers to online terminals. Cuts down the admin, and means we can email the invoice and reciept, instead of printing and sending cc receipts snail mail.

Unless of course you're doing person present transactions!

thats what we can do from the office but no good when i am treating wasp nests in peoples houses. All other mail where possible is sent via PDF so that they cant be altered and the customers are invoiced as soon as the work is completed, all payments should be electronic but some are not, As we are not charging the customer for the card transactions we are hopefully going to pull work from our competitors.

Waited for two deliverys on Friday, still waiting? These delivery companies give there staff to many deliveries to do, so if the traffics bad, or the address wrong, then its your hard luck.

Would not be so bad if that were our case, but the address is correct and the timing was good, just the driver went to the wrong door, and the item was refused.
We have 6 different couriers deliver to us and each one gets it right normally, this one is new to us and cant read obviously, now i have to lose another day out in the field whilst i am waiting.

Yet another day of lost earnings all because the van driver did not bring the item with him. WHAT a load of t.......s couriers should be shot, i thought the post office was bad enough but!!!!!!!!!!

We have started to use a Mail Box address, they take parcels in for us like small items, so no need to stay in or get the wife trapped in the office?

Just had my pump deliveried to site, looks like its been used as a football in the delivery companies warehouse, it works fine so that's good, could not have waited for a replacement, lol.

my machine arrived at last but not till we had phoned the firm yet again cos the van went straight by, the company phoned the driver who then returned to deliver it, the original label had no number on it but the courier company had put a sheet of paper with the house number on it.
But now we have it i can now give the option to our customers to pay by card with no extra cost to them.
