Default Whisky Fueled Marketing

Just posted this elsewhere, thought I would post it here too:

OK, so I have just sent this in text format to emails in the Corporate Events industry, thanks to some of the data I got from Target Your Market (Kieren) and as I am a few glasses into a bottle of J&B I just sent it! But I like it, so know I would love to know my fellow FBF'ers views (now that its gone lol)

Are you doing enough?

OK, so you are in highly competitive industry, you not only do you have to compete with other companies offering the same kind of service, but you also have to convince businesses that it is a good idea!

I know its a good idea, you know it is a good idea, but telling people that it will improve moral can become soul destroying, they do not think about the numbers, £5,000 can up the spirits so much that they come into work on Monday morning and have a £25,000 week, because they are excited and feel that the company appreciates them! They are not disposable!

I worked in marketing for many, many years, DFS, 02, Network Three etc, I even had to tell them how to motivate staff, they think the only way to show staff they care, is by having a HR Manager to go to, if they have any problems!

Now some companies know the true worth of a great Christmas party or a go-karting session, and I imagine that these companies have a member of staff cruising the Google highway to find these events, but do they actually find you, or one of your competitors? Too many website owners put their own name into Google and get excited because they are on the top of Google! This is pants! Company Days Out, Staff Morale, Staff Motivation, these are just some of the things they are looking for!

Now you have probably worked out by now, that this email is leading somewhere, it is, it is leading to a sale where you come and use my services! There is no glossing it up, I am in business, exactly the same as you are in business, I tell people every day about how I can turn a £750 website into a £8,000 month, exactly the same as you tell businesses that a great event will pay great dividends to the company through morale.

And I am glad to say people listen, you can pick any successful company you like, pick a name at random, and then think about this, is their website stunning? Are their brochures something special? Is their branding well thought out? Of course it is, Next have made more profit through the recession than they did before it, ONLINE!

Internet spending was up almost 33% last year, even my step daughter has a smart phone, which means she Googles at the bus stop on the way to and from school, the internet has changed, it is now in everyone's hands, not just in everyone's homes.

So here is the sales pitch, none of that sitting down and stroking you for an hour, and telling you that you NEED this, but just facts, not one of our clients has gone under in the so called recession, they are getting stronger and stronger, because we can do exactly what we say we can do! Simple, so if you think for one minute that your website or design of your branding (the graphic design side) can be improved in anyway at all, contact us, we can walk you hand in hand to more clients and exposure than you are currently getting.

Contact Us: 01223 969 458 or visit us if you are still on the fence at Kip FX Design

That's it!

Warmest regards.

Unhappy waffle? hic

Came across to me as a bit of a long winded ramble bud

If it's a first contact mail for potential new business, it seems a bit long and not very punchy, but be interested on the response rate you get back. Any expectations?
