I just wanted to comment, that I have read most of this thread, and would like to say the following...
I am loving this forum... but right now, as I type this reply, I haven't got a clue what the logo at the top is. So with that in mind, I am honestly not sure if a 'logo' really is that important. I believe it is the people that count. I have a client with a cake decorating shop. Most professionals in the 'online' businesses have told me that her website is awful and the logo is dated. She is second highest in my analytics chart. Her website, being honest, is her personality on the screen... and that is what sells for her. Perhaps it all depends on product/business type.

Youve made a good point a logo can mean everything as thats one of the first things potential customers see about your company so the first impression means everything. Your logo can and will determine whether you will make them a sale or not to how many sales you will ever make, if any

Valid points, but the capitalization of the difference points wasn't really necessary to emphasize the point. A logo is indeed very important and crucial to a business' success, and without one, your brand is pretty much a sinking ship.
