Default Twitter gets ready for advertising launch!

Looks like Twitter's not far away from a full scale advertising model, after purchasing a malware protection company, dasient.

Twitter Acquires Malware Protection Company

So then we will have twitter spam and adverts

Oh dear, celebs selling their souls.. why are we not surprised.

I like the bit about McDonalds:

"McDonald's tried to get customers to share happy stories about hamburgers on Twitter using the hashtag #McDstories. Instead, many hijacked the hashtag to tell less positive tales, or to pour scorn on the company's employment and animal welfare policies."

When marketing goes bad!! Hmm wonder if there is such a term as friendly fire marketing

I tell you what is more annoying than twitter, people using FB, Linkedin and the others like twitter.. short sharp irrelevant messages. (how many characters was that *counting*)
