My domain Lina Home Hair Salon in Milton Keynes for hairdressing services in Milton Keynes is not found when a local UK only search is performed in Google.
But is found on a normal global search. What is the way to get it fixed? |

what search term do you put into google, so I can replicate it.
Google is made up of multiple data centres, and search results will sometimes vary between datacentres. I've logged on at home and displayed different results than when I was in the office, so maybe this is the reason? But curious to see it, so let us know what search phrase you use.

It is only to with Google maps I think which is global. So if you open the maps at google UK you can still view world wide stuff. What do you mean it shows at the top? I dont think it does at the top does it? |

Since my SEO at a not acceptable level yet...
I just put "stylebylina" to see if my site is there at all. If I use any other related keyword, my site is not found, so I use the actual domain name just to see it has got indexed by Google. So it does appear in the global web google search bu not in the local UK only search |

Business listing always (or at least a lot of the time!) show up at the top - if a place name is put into search term in Google. I put Lina Home Hair Salon in Milton Keynes into it and you come up at the top of both UK and Global.
I know most people will not search for those words but it's good to know at least that you have that done. You are right that it does not show up if you just put your domain name in. Hope that makes sense! |

The penny just dropped, its because your using a .com domain. I don't know if this was intentional, but Google does likes geographic specific sites, and will assume a .com to be US. You will still see search results show up in the web or pages from the UK, but setting a geo target will reduce this.
You can change the geographic location so its set for the UK in webmaster tools. Also SEO wise, you have an awful lot of keywords (147) versus very little SEO friendly text (48 words). Great visually looking site though.

I thought the more keywords in the content the better. I am not sure what you are trying to say there |
|

I think I have found the answer here:
http://www.guerrillawebsitedesign.co...earch-results/ But I am still confused about what you said regarding the number of my keywords, can you explain? |
|

Yep, in your meta keywords tag, you have a high number of keywords, which is also known as keyword stuffing.
From your site - keywords: Hairdressers in Milton Keynes, Hairdresser in Milton Keynes, hair stylist in Milton Keynes, hairstyle, wedding, bridal style, bridal hairstyle in Milton Keynes, home hairdresser in Milton Keynes, home salon in Milton Keynes, hairstyle, home hair salon, home salon, hair at home, hairdresser at home, hair styling, wedding hairstyle, hair up, hairup, hairup, modern hairstyle, haircut, haircuts, beauty, hair colour, highlights, lowlights, hair stylist, stylist, style, color, hair color, Hairdressers in Milton Keynes, Hairdresser in Milton Keynes, hair stylist in Milton Keynes, hairstyle, wedding, bridal style, bridal hairstyle in Milton Keynes, home hairdresser in Milton Keynes, home salon in Milton Keynes, hairstyle for wedding, bridal hair up, bridal hair-up, bridal hair ups, bridal hair-ups, bridal hairup, wedding hairstyle, wedding hair up But you have few actual words in your content to match all these keywords. So keyword to content ratio is light. Ref the guerrillawebsitedesign article, from their list, basically the one that will do the job is what I mentioned earlier, add the geographic location in webmaster tools. "4.Add you website to Google Webmaster Tools and set the Geographic Location to the region you want your domain to be in" Make any sense? Or confused even more
