Googles secret handbook leaked to the outside world!

This caught my eye, an article from Site Reference about the leaking of a confidential handbook used by outsourced content checkers, that help grade all of our websites.

Most of it is stuff we've all been aware of over the years, but still some good points, especially for any novices.

yup, I liked the quote from Search Engine Land:

"Google said that it was a copyrighted document, and since he hadn’t done any fair use work with it (such as excerpting it), so that we needed to remove it from our site or we’d get a formal legal request"

That just really sux I think. We could have gotten a lot of really good information about how we could make the perfect site. But I can see why they would also have it removed though. Spammers could do a lot of real damage had they gotten their mitts on it.
