Default Life time listing

Good evening. Im new here and hope im posting this in the right place.

I recieved a email about a life time listing for my website which im interested in. which was from my local from my local services which i believe is part of this site.

anyway, i was wondering what i would get, it states an offer of £xx.00+vat for a life time listing. what sort of advertisement would i get, also it mentioned in a review that someone hit first page on google.

if anyone has any info on this i would really be interested as im paying google adwords £30.00 a month to advertise.

thanks

sean

Decent SEO on your site would knock the PPC account out of the window (though I think its worth doing a bit of PPC) andyway, don't think, join The UK Business Directory, free advertising and business listings I took a national listing, and has paid itself a few times now.

MLS is very google friendly!

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) means making your site tick all of Googles many boxes to place your site higher in Google, which in turn would save your PPC (Pay Per Click) spends (Google advertising).

Listing with MLS, and sites like it, will show Google that your site is listed elsewhere and give it a higher importance than a site with no links to it, but beware, learning SEO as a rank amateur will make you go grey (or greyer, balder etc)

Does this help?

Sean

I've said it before and I'll say it again (even though Steve will give me stick for plugging it...I'll risk it) On around ten generic searches for me the My Local Services - The UK Business Directory came up trumps on eight out of ten and all first page of Google and all near the top.

Worth every single penny and some.

Mike

yes this does help, So what would you suggest is my next step, how do i list with MLS,
How would you go about things.
What i have done so far as its a new venture for the shop i work. I am a Fish Monger dealing in frozen fish and seafoods, in november i got a courier involved and started advertising on my site for uk home delivery. While advetising on google with the adwords, getting 50 hits a day on average, without it, it drops to below 10. have picked up 20 customers in 3 moths and all are happy. on yahoo without any advertising im roughly about 2nd postion on firts page, for searches fish and seafood.

google without paying im nowhere really. and google seems to be main search engine.

my main compititor, who is a big company has the funds to advertise all day, but his product are twice the price of ours, so to keep inline with him i have to advertise. im not to bothered about 30.00 per month, but can afford to spend any more on that,

thanks again for taking the time to reply

sean
