 maybe you should try chrome.. There are a myriad of plugins for it as well. I hardy ever use Firefox anymore. Too many bad experiences with glitches etc.

Nope
Just as an additional input, I'm on Firefox 4 with no issues like that.
I did have Firefox 5 which stopped me using Google toolbar and created a few other oddities so stepped back to version 4. I must admit didn't notice this happening in MLF's when I was on version 5 though.
