Default SharClar Says how

Well How (Native american for hello)

Massively impressed with my user name, Its the crowning achievement of the day. Perhaps I should try and get on with something more productive?

Well cut a long story short, Lost my job (Redundancy) so I'm having to improvise, willing to try anything (Thats legal) Avon whatever I don't mind recommendations would be helpful.

Got one 15 year old and 8 year old so I need flexible ideas.

Feels like this has been more of a whine then a hello, so hello too :-)

Was a receptionist so I can do a bit of everything, lots of people don't really realise how much receptionists actually have to do and think we just answer phones and file our nails. Just to let you know we don't.

Sorry about the essay, time to Kill, kids at school

Ok lets get involved !

Hi SharClar and welcome. Commiserations on the redundancy front, sadly "there's a lot of it about" .

We provide redundancy counselling and job search support skills to UK clients. Typically what helps UK clients most is the encouragement to put much more time and effort into networking amongst friends, family, ex work mates etc to boost the number of job vacancies they find out about. Perhaps US job hunters are more comfortable than most of us Brits are with the networking approach?

Best wishes, Linda

Welcome aboard Sharclar, great intro

Again commiserations but sounds like you have bags of optimism, which is a powerful allie. We have a few Virtual Secretaries on board which may be a market worth exploring. it's certainly popular in the UK with small businesses, I'd assume America would be similar. Be interesting to hear from US members.

Anyway best of luck and hope you find the forums useful.

Default Thought I would just stop by and say

Hey again,

You wont believe what's happened, I've got a job !!!!

A few days after I registered her, a friend of a friend told me about a job, I rang and the rest is history.

I literally can't believe it, I don't know why but I felt like I should tell everyone here.

In the short time I've been on this site I've learnt so much !!! And I'm going to try and take what I've read here and put some passive income ideas into action, and I'll try to keep on with this forum (Especially since I'm doing allot of brand new things in this job, I may start a new thread about some of them)

Bye for now
