Hi , I am Susan and I am a Nutritional Therapist. Are there any alternative therapists in this group. I am not sure how to use this forum at the moment. I am trying to get my website to work for me online interms of getting more clients but it is not doing a good job.

As for your initial question, it's not a quick process and takes time. You can fast track the process if you can invest in somebody to do the work for you, but on the assumption that is an avenue you don't want to go down, the SEO 101 for laymen and newbies thread would be a good place to start.
