Thumbs down Introductions we don't want!!! No more Yoda's!

Starting to get tired of the spammy copy and paste intro, so have hijacked this latest one!

If you feel the need to join 30 forums and use the same spammy introduction again and again, with the hope of dropping a few links for your viagra website, then I'm afraid you're in the wrong place

Here's a classic example, so you think bionec would have become an active member and contribute to the community? Answers on a postcard

Hi everyone.......
I am bionec and i am newbie in this forum.Join to say hello to all.
Glad to be a part of this forum.Hope i stay and enjoy in this forum.
Thanks.

cheers
Steve (grumpy admin)

Well some really are quite bionic on these matters. 112 forums is really quite a lot, and I think he should have thought of changing his first lines if he knows he will just drop spam links in the future.

or may a new forum poster software is in play.

Introductory threads are hard, but you don't have to be Shakespeare though. meh, copy pasters can be the pits though. with 112 forums, I think its to build links ASAP, and not care too much about what's being posted maybe.

I don't think so, "Hi my names Steve and I've been running a marketing and advertising business for the last 6 years."

simples

I always used to start on a new forum with "are the forum natives friendly?"

Normally guaranteed a response, not always a favorable one lol

Hi, my name is Ray. I am a recovering ex-smoker. I think MLF friends help me very much. I think I am going to be very bad person to link bandits

On a serious note, I think it is bad that people can "dump" on genuine forums in order to drop links. That makes the forum too big, boring and of little value to those who have a real interst in developing skills, making links with "humans" and sharing a joke or two. Guess I am saying that there should be zero tollerance for this type of behaviour
