Welcome.

I'd assumed that all TV aerial companies have raked it in with lots of people needing to upgrade TV aerials etc. but clearly I'm mistaken.

Question

Some may have but there are quite a few aerial companies in our area so we are competing against them the whole time. Does anyone know of any reasonably priced advertising we could try?

Welcome from me too .....

Can you tell just by looking at existing aerials whether they need updating? A walk around posting flyers through likely doors (eg doors of executive homes) might help. I'd have thought your market would be a fairly local one.

Would a balloon campaign work (walking the streets with giveaway balloons - bearing the right messages - for the kids and a business card / flyer for the adults)? Right now, most parents need something for nothing!

Thanks your suggestion, that is something we could try. I am at the moment looking at whether google ad words is a good idea but it looks like it may work out a bit expensive?? That's the trouble I suppose - to earn more money - you have to spend more. Will keep thinking.

Adwords is a fantastic sales vehicle, but can take a while to master, and can be expensive if not closely controlled and tweaked.

Best bet is to try and get a free adwords voucher, usually £50 or £75, so you can at least put a toe in the water without spending any hard earned cash. If you google free adwords voucher, you may be able to get your hands on one.
