Dont know how may years you have been doing the job but i started off actually working out quotes from a guide in 1989, we used a pc as an indicator but the job was an art to know that if you were quoting a 17 year old it was Corinthian, 40 sumit with a family salon it was NU (or Aviva now), then EDi came in and i was sent to Misys on a training day - oh could go on for hours about the changes - OMG i sound old

Our office insurance is due later in the year - more than welcome to give me a quote for that if you are interested - currently with Allianz (wasnt that Cornhill? ahh more changes)

Right im off to do some work before i go on more about my previous role lol

Have a good day
Hi Clive,

Thank you for your kind words. I guess we both havent had enough coffee yet.

I started in 1994 so Edi was sort of just taking off and I remember as a YTS writing out Cloverleaf covernotes for about 100 clients per month and we too had a computer indicating whether we could quote and then a guide to check it! Misys are now OPENGI who are owned by Towergate who used to be...lol could go on and on.. but yeah you are right about the sounding off its a lot of needless change and is not to make the quoting/handling stage easier or more efficient but just to overload a customer into what we are doing, has its merits too though as it adds a bit of security with the backing, but on the positive note - I would love to quote for your office Insurance when its due and all I would ask is that you send me Privately your company name, postcode and approx date its due and i can see if I can help you with it.

You too have a good day and look forward to speaking to you again soon

Steve

Cloverleaf - now thats a blast from the past! Wasnt Towergate a renamed Folgate and Misys has gone - oh my - cant compute!

Its the redtape paperwork - I used to send out a schedule of cover & a renewal letter - now we get around 30 pieces of paper, just too much info for the average man. - im off again lol ....

Will pm details later
