Welcome - I tend to go to one of the comparison sites for gas and electricity - what other advice do you offer?

Been there, done that. That is where you get standard energy prices ( the most expensive ) My website deals with online energy prices, on average the prices are £360 cheaper than standard. Because I am new here I can't post my web address h??p://??????????????.c?m The bulk of the UK population are reluctant to switch their energy supplier because of the lack of understanding, I am trying to find a way around this barrier just now because there are billions of pounds of unclaimed discounts going to waste. The energy companies are just reaping the rewards because of this

Exclamation Energy savings research

Hi everyone.
Can I have your help please, whenever you can spare a few minutes. I am trying to find out the reasons why only 13% of the UK population regularly switch their energy supplier through a comparison site. I am not going to give a list of options as to why this might be happening. Please don't put your reasons on this thread, please PM me instead.
I will post my findings on this thread as soon as I have received a reasonable ammount of answers.

Many thanks in advance.

Martin

Other advice is anything relating to gas and elctricity bills, switching, what happens when you switch, how to work out gas consumption, how to reduce energy consumption and whatever else anyone wants to know about the subject.
Unlike the usual comparison sites, I don't just focus on sales. I used to be a Manager with one of the major UK energy companies, so I have a wealth of experience in the energy business. The best part about my service is, it is completely free of charge.

Sounds interesting - we're always switching to and fro. The providers pull you in with a good deal then hike the price to ridiculous levels

Exclamation How do you switch your energy supplier?

If you switch through a doorstep salesman, the chances are you won't save any money. Example: you are paying £120 per month direct debit for your gas & electricity, the salesman says they can do it for £100 per month. The problem here is, if you were paying 12 pence per Kwh of energy and the new supplier charges 13 pence per Kwh your direct debit won't be enough to cover your consumption, so you are going into arrears with your bills. After this is going on for a few months your new supplier will have to increase your direct debit to £140 plus
