Is it human nature to leave things until they break or go bang?

We could not run a business this way, leaving it to run itself and spending money on it when it has a problem. But so many people think they are saving money if they do not maitain their swimming pools or service their cars?

One of our clients got a repair bill for thousands of pounds because he failed to maintain this equipment, saving themselves a couple of hundred pounds in the last few years by not having the equipment maintained.

So in these hard times try to keep equipment maintained as from our experience its saves you money in the long term, if you cannot afford a full service, why not pay for a quick visual check and have peace of mind?

Used to be like that with my cars

Now I get them serviced reguarly at the main dealer and it would prob work out cheaper if I just let something go bang

Suppose it depends on they type of equipment. Guess a swimming pool is an expensive item to maintain which maybe people don't appreciate when they get one put in the back garden? So they hope for the best.

Maybe you should team up with an insurance company and do a protection plan, like you can get for your central heating and boiler. Fixed costs, reg maintenance and if it goes bang, your policy kicks in.

Or maybe that happens already? I know nothing about swimming pools... but one day, oh yes one day...

You have started a very interested human psychology aspect,
"people will start to change" but I believe that "Change is the beauty of human nature and life" and "people have been started to change".

I also believe that Change is always good, no matter good or bad one, it always carries opportunities in it if you feel positively.

So keep changing.
