Hi and welcome to the forum take a read of this post and see if you have ticked all the boxes.

I also recommended you take a look at Matt Cutts and watch a few a day to get an idea.

However a brief look at your site shows me that google has done what you asked for the keywords you have given it - Click Here

Hope that helps

Hi Paul

Many people make the mistake of chasing generic keywords rather than targeted keywords "Helicopter flying lessons" is an example

If I am looking for a plumber I may start with putting in the word plumber in the search term but would soon realize that I was getting plumbers from all over the UK when I need on in the Goodwood area.

Whilst I accept Helicopter flying lessons could bring you small amounts of traffic if you did get too number one for that term, you would have great stats to your site and bad conversion because a massive % would not been with commuting distance to your school.

My advice would be Helicopter flying lessons Sussex , Surrey , Kent which should be easier to obtain good positions for

Update - My mistake you are currently on page one for Helicopter flying lessons sussex - but theory is still the same.

Hi,
There is difference between search engines like Google, yahoo and Bing. Yahoo and Bings are similar but Google has its own algorithm and they have different factors that they are looking at. Google ranking is depends on your quality of backlinks links.

Interesting, I agree it seems people type what they are looking for first then the place. It seems to me that it is far less common to type the place first and then the area. Ie "Builders Bath" would be searched more than "Bath Builders".

It was hard to have a page rank if the site that your linking was not that credible. And on the other hand algorithms of those engines are different.

Every search Engine have own algorithm and own rules. Google is most popular and most searchable search engine in world. Google gives more traffic on your website then other search engines. Google have world largest search engine in world so that resign Google will take more time to increase your ranking then other search engines.

Google is having completely different algo, so as your ranking.

You need to understand, what Google like what doesn't and work in that direction.
