Default Keyword question

Sorry if it sounds a dumb question. when I enter a blog entry and then spread it around I tend to use the same keywords separated by comma on each occasion. Clearly for almost any business there are limitations to how many words are likely to come up.

Question is if I keep using the same ones will this be detrimental and would Google see this as potential spamming?

Thanks in anticipation

Mike

Interesting point, depends if you are using your site for the blog, and each blog is a separate indexable page.

If for example you were using the key words elf & safety on each blog entry, and you also have this on your home page, because this is top search term to get people to your site, then I think this may potentially water down the value of it.

I may be wrong, and not 100% on this, not sure if the same keywords on lots of your pages, carries the same weight as the keyword on you index page, but I think this may work against you.

Keywords regardless should be done on density, so no point haveing "elf & safety" if this doesn't figure a few times in your blog entry.

If your blog is hosted elsewhere, and you have a few keywords as anchor text back to your site, then thats obviously only a good thing.

Regardless though, Google won't see this as spamming, unless you go madly overboard and resort to "keyword stuffing" your meta data.

Mikes site creates new pages for the blogs, titled by the name of the blog entry itself, it really cannot hurt you Mike, but as Steve says (regarding relevancy), if the blog is about Fire Safety, tie those keywords into the SEO bit, but keep the main search terms for client searches in there aswell, I would add a couple of towns in Somerset to each post too.

ie: somerset, health, safety, bridgwater, fire, safe, shepton mallet, consultant

Make sense?
