I completely understand if you don’t want to post your chosen keyword here. But let’s say your target keywords are: “baby shoes for sale”
A keyword like this can be extremely competitive. Perhaps, you might want to add in your area or another keyword modifier in the mix.
“baby shoes for sale Arkansas”
“cheap baby shoes for sale Arkansas”
“cute baby shoes Arkansas”
Then do you own Google search and see if you find any of your chosen keywords highlighted in the TITLE and site description below. If you find less than 10 – then you’re in business for the next step.
You can then go ahead write some articles on ezine, like the other’s suggested and use a MODIFIED KEYWORD for your ANCHOR TEXT.
Meaning, if you choose “baby shoes for sale Arkansas” Use the following anchor texts:
“looking for baby shoes around the Arkansas area?” -→ see all the keywords are there – but it’s modified with a phrase. This will be “read” by Google as an all-natural link.
Aside from Ezine, go ahead and create a Squidoo lens or hubpage that talks about your product and pointing to your site with these MODIFIED KEYWORD Anchor texts.
I learned this based from experience, just plainly using your target keywords as anchor texts over and over again will most likely send an alarm over at the Google webspam team.
And one more thing, when you create the posts in Ezine or hubpages that will point to your site – include your keywords there too. Does not necessarily have to be in order – just all the keywords are there will suffice. It’ll give your site that extra push that it needs.
