How can i check conversion rate for my travel website and how can i improve my conversion rate.

Hi tomsk ,thanks for the information but i am aware of google analytical an i have already placed the code for my site index page but i am not getting any detail of that .

The google analytic code needs to go on every page of your site. If you have a footer, place the code there.

I put mine right at the bottom of the page, just before the </body> tag.

can you paste in the code of your footer, starting from the analytics code?

you need to decide what constitutes a conversion, thenwith google analytics installed (when you get there) you can monitor how many people go to different pages, set up goals and conversions.
for example: many people will choose going to the contact page as a conversion, or even the contact confirmation page, you can then look at the amount of visitors you have and how many go to said page, you can also use funnels in analytics to see where these people came from and potentially notice trends in the pages that convert and those that dont.

I always get confused with google analytic, how does it work? I have been given a code but finding it difficult to install it.

there should be some documentation about this somewhere...

anyway, ok, you got the code, it needs to go on every page of your site within the <body> </body> tags.

most people put it right at the very end of their code, so basically scroll right to the end of the page, put the curser before </body> and paste the code there. - (basically you want google to read everything on your page before it reads its own code!)

if you use a CMS or a template then you only need to do this once and the code will be generated in each page of the site afterwards.

the code does need to go into a page generating html
it has to go in the <body> tag
and it needs to go on all the pages you want monitored on the site, preferrably all of them.
