I went to a Transport of London meeting the other day nearly 4 million extra people will visit London during the games.
The Olympic road network will allow family, friends, participants and media to travel to and from the events quickly and safely. However the ORN will cause major delays, road closures, parking and delivering restriction, if you send or receive stuff in London have you looked at a plan yet? We know that many customers have but are finding it hard to plan around such a difficult system. The roads will change and swap per event so it’s sometimes going to be hard to judge the level of traffic and time it takes to reach a destination. We have plans already in place but i know small- medium business that we deal with don’t.

Frankly I'm amazed that the olympics are to be staged in london at all.
My personal opinion is that there are far more suitable areas with good transport links further up the country and before anyone reaches for the keyboard, I'm originally from east London myself so I have no axe to grind about us poor northerners being left out. I'm so glad that I'm based elsewhere and will miss out on the nightmare that will inevitably ensue.

See us in the Midlands have the perfect location. Middle of the country, good motorway network (as long as you stay clear of Birmingham). Contrary to popular belief, there is running water and electricity outside of London.
Not quite sure how the M25 or main routes into Londonville can get any more congested than they are during any normal rush hour, so it will be interesting to see how the increased volume of visitors is handled. I really hope it's a roaring success, it should be great for the country, but I do feel for London based businesses, or associated impact on small businesses. Also hoping no one lets Boris Johnson (London Mayor) speak during the opening ceremony. If we don't understand him, what will the rest of the planet think?
