It sounds like you have already done what most people do when utilising facebook.

Me personally, I'd concentrate on better avenues, link building, articles, blogs, adwords etc.

and there my friend is the crux. I'm very much of the opinion you only get out what you put in.

If you are running a business, then spending money, albeit marketing, advertising, SEO, hosting etc are par the course, unless it is a part time hobby business running on a free website.

There are some good link building resources out there, but high quality one way links ones with high page rank will be few and far between!

If resources are tight, then concentrate on high quality content and let people come and link to you (link bait).

Fair play, my apologies. So how are you finding the Radio advertising?

We personally found it hard to track feedback and therfore effectiveness, but I guess it could work better for a travel site like yours. Can't really offer any more suggestions on facebook though

Quick tip, add your website to your signature, at least it should give you another link if nothing else!

Just had a look at your site, happy memories, was a big fan of Kyrenia myself, beautiful unspoilt little harbour, hope it doesn't become another Limmassol

Is brand awareness really critical in the travel market? I've used companies I've never heard of before but if they have what I like I'll buy off them.

To go back to your original questions, I'd agree with Steve, and I would suggest interacting with like minded people on twitter/facebook, but start by getting decent content and links (bait) on your website.

Firstly i sugges to apply FMBL[Facebook Markup Language] Application to you page. With that you can create evets, polls, and many other facilities. Excellent designed with informative content of Facebook fan page helps you to increase traffic rate on your page.
