Exclamation E commerce Deal site Marketing Tips?

Hi all,

I have recently taken over as general manager for a new deal site based in Cardiff, Get My Deal, but marketing deals from the local areas of the customer to national deals. Approaching merchants and getting them on board isnt hard at all, and imagined it to be a lot tougher, though they are now selling at a reduced rate, they get free advertising and is good marketing for them.

the problem now, as I'm sure with other internet based companies is getting the traffic, the end goal making the business a house hold name.

With blog writing, Google PPC campaigns, business listings and forum discussion, is there any Organic marketing that I'm missing out on that really works

Social Networking for Sales: Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter exist as free communities for their users to interact on; don’t you think your business should have a presence among the users? It’s one of the fundamental rules: Go where the people are! Overt sales is not the name of the game on these sites, but content, engagement, and feeds help to keep a business’s image fresh and visible, which leads to sales.

Yeah I agree social network marketing helps a lot, have you also tried creating e-mail lists and sending newsletters, draw in existing customers, statistics say it is 7 times more expensive to bring in a new customers as it is to bring back and existing customer.

I know it is completely off subject but what are the fees etc you charge for joining your scheme and how does it work? I run a canvas printing website and we are looking to join deal of the day sites.

Hi,

Thank you for your input. We here at GetMyDeal do not charge anything to join us and have your deals advertised on our site. Unlike our competitors we are much more merchant focused, so we charge a low commission of 30%, and we pay for EVERY deal that is sold, and not just the ones that are redeemed. Feel free to contact us, or visit our website:L (getmydeal.co.uk)

Hopfully be hearing from you soon.
