I think they are definitely worth using.
I used Kelkoo a few years ago ( selling musical instruments) and we did OK with it. Depending on the product you may not get the traffic volumes that traditional PPC can bring but I found the conversion rates from click to purchase much higher.

A friend of mine used shopping comparison sites effectively when she was selling handbags online.

The chat in the online marketing industry, is that price comparison sites tend to get a better click to purchase rate due to the potential purchaser being deeper in the mindset to purchase, than they are when doing a Google search for example.

Thanks - that was a really useful post - I tend to think 'eBay' and go no further.

I think you have to be the cheapest on these sites and also offer commision? If so I guess the profilt margins wouldnt be too high...

Be interesting to see how some of these sites have faired after the recent Google Panda update...

I've tried Shopzilla, Twenga, ShopWiki, PriceRunner and a few others and the only one that brought any sales in was Google Merchant Center.
