Think you're on a winner there Barney, would make it really small print though

Missus bought a kiddies book for a friends daughter, book cost £10 in the shop, and then she spent £7 on postage and packing to send the thing, plus time to go out and buy it (although suppose that's technically a benefit )

Said you should have just bought it on Amazon and had it delivered, as it was free delivery. "but that's not the same as sending it yourself"

So guess there's times when even free delivery doesn't clinch it...

I like free delivery! I offer free delivery on my website for orders over £75 as there is higher profits on orders over that value of me so I can afford to do this.

$35 + free delivery is better than $25 + $10 delivery

1. if something goes wrong, customer can claim $35 refund instead of $25
2. in the case of $25 + $10 delivery, depending on the goods, customer might think the shipping is less than $10 and the vendor is using the shipping fee to subsidise the product

Plus free delivery sounds like the seller is trying to provide an extra service

yes, i think free delivery is neccessory, many buyer want to free shipping even if they know the shipping has been calculated into the price, but it will be more comfortale for buyer~

Yes Mr.Royale you are absolutely correct, Exactly Free delivery means that there is already included Product price+Shipping price.

we used the free delivery in one of businesses, it really helped us to stand out from some competitors.

On an expensive product I expect free delivery. For retails that regularly have a ‘Free Delivery & Returns’ offer I find it difficult to justify purchasing until this offer is available again. When the offer is on I regularly purchase more than I would have as I don’t have the fear of wasting money on delivery and return costs.

Agreed it should be worked into the price, free delivery is becoming the norm. Although even by offering free delivery through certain channels such as social media could help.
