Still early days and for one client I have a load of products to put on

When I have something positive to report I will let you know if it is worth the hassle

I've used google base (or google products as it is now) for a little while... i must confess to cheating thought as i use oscommerce for my shopping site and use a pre-written add-on for the google products :-)

setup from it was really easy and i have found that i get more and better hits (according to the analytics) from the free google products upload as currently that is where about 70% of my traffic is comming from...

PPC's would poss bring more but lost my full time job in april so funds are very limited so have knocked the ppc's on the head for now, so am just relying on the google products, seo, blogs and social networking for now, along with any suggestions for cheap/free advertising

If you store is based on Magento with the help of FeedPro extension you can export Magento feed and automatically update product information in all shopping engines they are registered.

All my clients are on it - I recommend it most strongly. If you use shopping cart software such as actinic - the process is a doddle. 5 minute job.

Default Some ecommerce platforms suppport natively

I have a client on Prostores which is pre-integrated with Google base. The trick now is to obtain rank within Google Base.

Does anyone know if Google even evaluates the keywords tag on a product page when collating the product search results?

Thanks in advance!

Default Google Base

Hi

We have had some success with Google Shopping for our online store
pretavoir.co.uk
We have 14000 items in the feed eg chanel glasses, maui jim sunglasses, etc. It is important to have as may fields as possible well optimised, regularly update and also important that your site appears in review sites such as ciao, reviewcentre etc. Although we understand this to a degree, we still outsource the work. If you need our contact please let me know. Sean

I always set up Google Base Feeds for my clients. Provides considerable extra exposure and visitors.

The biggest obstacle is having a software system for producing the feed in the first place - especially if you have 100's or 1000's of products!!!
The setting up of the account with Google is a doddle.

Default Google Base

Its nice and must feature for product base business, i had used in past for my online IT business via zencart based website. It worked fine untill google told me that they dont accept dropship companies feed. You need to own stock for google feed to work for you.
