HI Guys I am not sure whether this post should be in here or in the IT forum

What is the best method to use for online payment systems from a stability and cost standpoint???

All depends on how much is coming in, judging by our chat the other day I would say use a monthly service from your own bank, if you are still nottaking many payments yet, then paypal, as it costs you a few percent but everyone know it, other options are ProtX or Sagepay whatever its called nowadays.

We swear by Streamline, which is run by RBOS. Allows us to access their payment gateway (which is customisable, so can make it look like your site) and same system allows us to us card readers so we can also take phone payments. Stability wise, bobm proof, never had any problems in 4 years.

There always Paypal, which is similar charges wise and easy to intregrate.

Have used Nochex years ago, which is still going, and they seemed ok.

Hope that helps

ha ha, like it!

On a serious note though, you can't go far wrong with Paypal. Its established, has brand awareness, secure and trusted and easy to implement.

I use paypal. Found it to be very good, cutomers can pay via there paypal account, or by a one off payment with there card if they dont have paypal account. also everyone knows ebay and thus paypal, Its well trusted.
i think charges work out about 3% roungly, maybe slighly less.
