Dim screen on my laptop!
Hello i've got a really really annoying snag on my laptop! When i plug the power into the back the screen goes dim and when i take it out the screen brightens up again! I've looked in the power settings section and they all are normal. It's happened a few times and comes and goes. I'm thinking some BIOS setting needs tweaking?? But sometimes as mysteriously it appears it disappears again!!! Any ideas anyone? It is quite annoying me now!!

Hello! The OS is Windows XP my Laptop is a Compaq R4000 (Sounds like something out of Robocop!)
It is a bit old but this problem seems to be here for a little while, then just disappears until the next time it pops up! Weird!!
