Cool If your here to spam, then you will be banned...

Had to ban quite a few users recently.

If you want to spam, then you will get banned.

If you have an overwhelming desire to do a sales pitch or a moderator or myself deems a post as a sales pitch, then use the blantant sales pitch folder, or we will move it there.

If you are repeatedly just doing sales pitches, then your not here to contribute to the forum.

Anyone who spams multiple threads will be banned without argument.

If you spot a spammer and looks like we have missed it, or you have a problem with comments in a particular thread, then select the "report post" (red triangle in the right hand corner of the post).

I have just posted what could be conidered by some as a sales pitch.............
perhaps.........
I am not too sure.
I am trying to find some like minded people who want to use local resources, rather than large corporate chains.
I am starting here, as I found it in a search for local business listings.
If I can provide services to locals and use local services when required I will be a happier person.

Your fine Anita. Unfortunately in this dark world of the internet, we get some hit and run spammers from time to time who bombard all the threads with rubbish.

Our anti spam defences are pretty good, but occassionally the little Yodas break through

Imitation is the best form of flattery!!

Actually the culprit is Mr Stavros who is in the process of launching his job seekers forum.

Oiii Mr Stavros, write your own content!

In its previous incarnation fo the forum I was getting spammed left right and centre and I needed a quick solution to combat it.

so I had a word with Stevey R about some code addtions and I nicked his RNR at the same time.
I have just been so swamped since Xmas I forgot to author my own.

So I thank you with a slanted smile as you have jogged my memory to replace it but adversely you have also added another item to my to do list.

Oh gosh, i didnt mean to make a mountain out of a mole hill, im sure it makes no difference at all if you copy a little bit of anti spam code, esp if its not even indexed in google, means nothing and accomplishes the desired goal.

anyway, i totally appreciate the forum spam stuff, ive started and closed a few forums in my time simply because of spam. it gets to be such a joke! much better to help each other out once in a while.

lol any opportunity to wind up stavros is worth it

Touch wood, our anti spam measures seem to be holding up, main prob is 1 post link dumpers, "hello I'm new, now buy my tat at tat.com" But self promo's are normally obvious. Turn a blind eye if they do some posting...
